Taken at 8:30 in the evening on July 3rd 2008 after a day of almost continuous rain. The storm clouds had begun to part so I headed for Cashel, which is close to where I live, and was rewarded with some fantastic light. The strong yellow of the low sun created intense greens and warmed the usually rather grey stone of the abbey and the cathedralcontrasting well with the dark sky. I had planned this photo for some time but had always been foiled by 'bad' weather. However, the light is often best when 'bad' weather is clearing up, so for meat least this timebad weather was a blessing. The photo is created from ten separate photos, taken vertically, and joined together.
