The Knockmealdown Mountains from the Golden Vale
The Golden Vale is reputed to be one of the most fertile areas in Europe. It follows the River Suir, and its tributary valleys, through Tipperary from its source to the sea where it joins the Atlantic Ocean after passing alongside part of Kilkenny and between Waterford and Wexford.
