Brendan Davis lives in Cahir, County Tipperary and considers himself very lucky to be located in such a photogenic area - right in the Golden Vale and surrounded by the Galtee Mountains, the Knockmealdown Mountains, Slievenamon and County Waterford's Comeragh Mountains. In addition to landscape and natural history subjects the area contains a wealth of historical sites, castles, abbeys, and other antiquities. Never far from most of these subjects, and a great subject itself, is the river Suir.
Brendan has been an enthusiastic photographer for forty-five years and has recently been taking photographs for personal projects and to support his design of web-sites, books and brochures. As much as he likes Tipperary and its neighbours he realises that the rest of the country has just as much to offer and plans are afoot to start moving into other areas. So watch this space.
